Update: Donations for Team Dream 2009 Exceed $10,000!

On July 22, 2008, donations for Team Dream topped the $10,000.00 mark. Thank you to everyone who has donated to this amazing cause. With your help, in just over two weeks we've collected over 10% of our donation goal of $100,000!
Thanks also to everyone who has called and emailed with your great ideas on how to reach more people and make this project more effective. We're working on implementing as many of your ideas as possible, both to help reach our donation goal, and to spread the word and raise lung cancer awareness. If you have any other ideas or suggestions, feel free to contact Amy at akwaggoner@yahoo.com.
If you are interested in learning more about the riders of Team Dream and our progress in planning and training for this ride, we soon will post individual blogs that can be accessed from the first page of the blog by clicking on our pictures.
Thanks, everyone, and keep on spreading the word!

Team Dream 2009 Adds New Rider and Sponsors

Team Dream is pleased to announce the addition of a new rider and sponsors.

Joe Rosen (pictured) is an immigration attorney in Atlanta. Joe describes himself as a "large, clumsy man on a bicycle" but promises not to wear Spandex. How could we say no to that?

Also new this week, Rachel Jacobson and Eric Olsen have donated $1.00 per mile to Team Dream 2009, for a total donation of $3,415 to our cause. In doing so, they have become the first official sponsors of TD09. They will be listed as sponsors on the website and will receive official TD09 bike jerseys. Maybe they can help us design them first . . . .

Rachel already volunteered to be a rider for TD09. Rachel, don't think this donation gets you out of riding; you can't get out of it that easily. Anyway, a big THANK YOU to Rachel and Eric from TD09 for their generous donation!
